1 Corinthians 12: 1-3 "Now concerning spiritual gifts brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit." ESV
The Holy Spirit never questions Jesus, nor does it deny Him. The Holy Spirit proclaims Jesus and reveals Him to us. He will not lead you into sin but will bring it to light so you can see it and be convicted of it. Oh by the way, 'the devil made me do it" won't get it. He will temp you, yes but our carnal spirit is what makes the choice.
