Faith
Hebrews 11: 1-2 "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation." ESV
For by it (faith) the people of old received their commendation (a good report). We talk about wanting to hear God say, well done good and faithful servant. That only comes with our faith in Him. Hebrews 11:6 says It's impossible to please God without faith, so for God to be able to commend us (give a good report about us) then we must place our faith in Him. Remember faith is the support upon which everything is held together.
